Who’s behind the verdict
I’ve built 16 products since 2017.
A few made it. Salesbay won Techstars Global Startup Weekend, Rabbimoney had real users, Peanut got killed by regulation before it had a chance. The rest? Abandoned. Not because they were bad ideas, but because I didn’t know who they were for, couldn’t explain why they mattered, or had no clue where to find the first 100 people who’d care.
That’s not a confession. That’s my qualification. Every pattern I catch in your product, I catch because I’ve made that exact mistake myself.
Ifunanya, cofounder and product lead at EnvoyX, an embedded finance infrastructure startup — raised $100K from Baobab Network plus a $25K angel round, processing over $900K in health insurance claims. Led product design for TheFolklore Group, a New York-based e-commerce startup, before their $3.4M raise. Leading product and GTM for Fabfriends, a US-based NGO that’s channeled over $200K in education support to scholars in Rwanda.
Most consultants study failure. I’ve lived it. That’s why this works.
